Devlog Update – New Enemies, Smarter Mechanics, and Visual Polish in Balls

Today’s update for Balls introduces exciting new features, gameplay refinements, and important bug fixes aimed at deepening the game’s challenge and improving player feedback.

• Triangle Enemy + Minions: A new triangle-shaped enemy has been introduced! It spawns aggressive minions that chase and attack the player, bringing a new level of pressure and tactical challenge.

• Exploding Ball: A brand-new ball type has been added that explodes on impact, offering creative ways to chain reactions or clear threats with precision.

• Improved Camera Zoom: The camera now dynamically adjusts zoom more responsively based on movement, making navigation smoother and more intuitive, especially at high speeds.

• Lava Fixes & Visuals:

  • Fixed an issue where balls would spawn inside or partially in lava.

  • Lava now changes color smoothly, enhancing its visual presence and signaling intensity during gameplay.

• Health Bar System: Players now have a visible health bar, adding clarity and tension to encounters with enemies and hazards.

• Chain Bounce Revamp: The chain bounce ball has been adjusted to prevent the player from being launched uncontrollably into enemies, making it more strategic and less chaotic.

• Death Slow-Mo Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the game would stay in slow motion if the player died while dragging.

• Main Menu and Pause Menu: A sleek new UI has been added, including a working main menu and pause functionality, making the game feel more complete and user-friendly.
